Joyce Lavery Hall started a free-lance illustration business in 1987 after earning an MFA in Medical and Biological Illustration from the University of Michigan.

Her clients have included: American Medical Women’s Association, Baxter, Churchill Livingstone, Inc., Elsevier Science, W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc., Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, W. B. Saunders, Urban & Schwarzenberg, as well as numerous private physicians.
